Ridhima Dhawan

“When the breath wanders the mind also is unsteady.  But when the breath is calmed the mind too will be still, and the yogi achieves long life.” - as quoted in the Hatha Yoga Pradipika

Ridhima moved from India to Santa Barbara in 2007. She has been studying Hatha Yoga and Naturopathy since 2001. She is certified with Diploma from the International Foundation of Yoga and Naturopathy, Delhi, India. In addition to teaching Yoga, she was involved in conducting Yoga workshops for various corporate houses in India. She holds Bachelor’s degree in Homeopathic system of Medicine followed by a Post Graduate diploma in Preventive and Promotive Health Care. Among other things, she is a trained Reiki Grandmaster.

Class Description: Ridhima’s classes give equal emphasis on the Pranayamas, meditation and asanas. They help enhance physical stamina by calming mind and achieving control over the senses. The asanas empower the body by building resistance against ailments and detoxifying it. At the same time, the graceful movements and gentle breathing affect the mind, making it peaceful.

Integral Hatha Yoga a classical style of yoga which puts equal emphasis on the Pranayama, Meditation, and Asanas making the mind and body calm.
